Desmond Elliot is one of Nollywood’s leading actors. Born in Olowogbowo, Lagos Island, to a Yoruba father and a mother from Allah, Oshimili North, Delta State.
He attended Air Force Primary School and then St John’s College in Jos, where he earned his primary education. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lagos State University in 2003, he has starred in over two hundred films and a number of television shows and soap operas.
In 2015, he contested and won a seat as a member of the Lagos state assembly. over his career, he has amassed an impressive amount of wealth making him one of the top richest Nollywood actors.

Career
Elliot was persuaded to pursue acting by a buddy. Apparently, he listened and began his acting career by appearing in soap operas such as Everyday People, One Too Much, and Saints and Sinners.
Today, Desmond Eliot is one of Nollywood’s leading actors, having acted in over 200 films such as Men Who Cheat, Yahoo Millionaire, and Atlanta. He received an African Movie Academy Award nomination in 2006 for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” in the film “Behind Closed Doors.
He co-produced and co-directed the film “Reloaded” in 2008, which got three African Movie Academy Award nominations in 2009. If he emerges, he plans to work for a “volunteer-based non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization formed to provide hope to the hopeless,” where he will seek to end “child illiteracy in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Elliot also competed for the position of ambassador for the Face of Hope in 2010. He also contested and won a seat as a member of the Lagos state assembly in 2015.
